MANILA, Philippines - Liberal Party (LP) presidential candidate Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III yesterday vowed to continue the fight even after tomorrow’s elections have been concluded.
Aquino said he is not being complacent despite a commanding lead over his rivals in the surveys as the campaign drew to a close.
Aquino told his supporters during the LP’s miting de avance in Quezon Memorial Circle on Friday that “we have not yet won, we are not yet assured of a good future - the fight continues.”
The 50-year-old bachelor concluded his campaign in his hometown in Tarlac where he would vote on election day.
It was in Tarlac that Aquino and running mate Sen. Manuel “Mar” Roxas II started hitting the road under “hunger, rain, sunshine and danger” throughout the 90 days of the campaign.
